HIGH OAK KENNELS FEISTS

Home of 2007 Alabama State Champion GINGO'S BRITCHES and UKC SqCh KERLEY'S DUSTY

Oakdale's Sport Model

Doug Cox, who owned Sport for many years and started the Sport Line, told me that Sport won the Tennessee State hunt when he was 14 months old.  He drew out with 2 curs in his cast and blew them away. I have talked with several people that had the opportunity to hunt with Sport and all of them held this dog in high esteem. I have heard stories about how he would make other dogs look just plain silly.

Mr. Cox said that Sport never met his equal in the woods.

Sport produced a lot of good dogs while Doug owned him, including some Squirrel Champions.  There are also grandpups and great-grandpups out of Sport that have become Squirrel Champions.

This is Britches and Keith Landrum's Little Taz (aka LT) after the ATFA Alabama Regional Hunt in Florence. Britches placed 4th and LT placed 5th.  I imagine the placement would be reversed had we drawn out with LT.  LT is one of the 3 best dogs I have competed against---Competition or Pleasure.  He is only 2 years old and won ATFA Squirrel Dog of the Year.  He is First Class!
