2007 ALABAMA STATE CHAMPION

UKC Squirrel Champion

Britches is a great squirrel dog and will find squirrels that other dogs simply cannot find.  The only way to stop him from treeing squirrels is to leash him and take him home.  He holds the tree and barks until the gun goes off.  Britches will be 11 in June but still hangs right with the younger dogs.  Many a squirrel has met it's fate with Britches in the woods.

Britches is off of Oakdales Sport Model x Gingo's Cricket.  This was one heck of a cross that produced great dogs.  Sport was a well known Feist and was heavily sought after as a stud.  Cricket was sired by Spud McKenzie which was an ATFA Grand Squirrel Champion.  Gingo's Cricket was an excellent squirrel dog.

Britches is the 1st Male directly out of Oakdale Sport Model to Champion in any registry.  He did this in his first season of UKC Field Trials.  At 10 years old Britches became the 2007 Alabama State Squirrel Champion and also became a UKC Squirrel Champion.  Britches also has 1 win toward Grand Squirrel Champion.  Quite an amazing accomplisment for a dog his age.

Britches is registered ATFA, NKC, UKC and MTFO.

Britches is at Stud to APPROVED FEMALES ONLY.  Negative Brucelliosis Test REQUIRED within 10 days of breeding.  Stud fee is $250.00 for approved females.  Stud fee is $100.00 for approved Squirrel Champions.

With limited breeding Britches has sired some pretty good dogs.

Nik - (Britches x Gizmo-from the Sport x Snake cross)  Owner is Don Odem of Effingham, SC (843) 389-2823.  "He is not for sale!" These are the first words out of Mr. Odem's mouth when I called to ask him about Nik.  Nik started treeing when he was 5 months old.  Nik is 8 years old and is also producing good early starting puppies.

Rusty - (Britches x Pennington's Goldie)  Owner is Steve Pennington of Gardendale, AL (205) 631-9854.  Rusty is 7 years old and is a Deep Hunting squirrel machine.

Buddy - (Britches x Mark Vissage's Pepper, SC) Owner is Joe McKinney (205) 426-9020. Money cannot buy this dog.  Buddy is 2 years old.

Gail - (Britches x Gizmo-from the Sport x Snake cross)  Owner is Joe McKinney (205) 426-9020.  This dog is not for sale either.  Gail is 8 years old.  Joe also owns a female that is a full sister to Britches named Misty (Sport x Cricket)  Money cannot buy his dogs.

Wayne Dunn has one of the puppies from the last litter off of Britches and Ross Vinings female.  She is doing well. He calls her Britches Dog  (256) 572-1476
